Alumni Year IV Scholarship Program

UA College of Medicine Alumni:

The University of Arizona College of Medicine’s commitment to support the financial needs of its students has always been a priority of our alma mater. Your financial support of the Alumni Year IV Scholarship Program is an essential part of providing medical education to all Arizona College of Medicine students.

The first piece of news is actually something that has not changed: every student admitted to the College of Medicine is accepted regardless of financial status and is guaranteed the necessary financial support through scholarships, loans and other forms of aid to make their education affordable. Unfortunately, the second piece of news is also no surprise: the cost of medical education continues to rise, and as a result, the average student indebtedness at graduation is $86,000 – 100,000.

The Alumni Year IV Scholarship Program aims specifically to ease the financial burden that fourth-year medical students encounter in making the transition to residency, including the cost of residency applications and travel to interviews. Contributions to the Alumni Year IV Scholarship Program will specifically support fourth year students of The University of Arizona College of Medicine.

Our charitable contribution, which is 100% tax deductible, will be matched by the MBNA Foundation to a total of $2000. This is a fantastic opportunity to maximize the impact of every gift.

Please help the College of Medicine meet this important goal . Join me in giving today.
